Position:

A Porter’s primary focus is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. As a Porter, you will clean & sanitize workstations, trash running, sweep debris, and mop, clean non-food contact surfaces, floors, drains, walls, windows offices, bathroom, uniform room and cafeteria, product storage racks, product storage coolers, product storage freezer, warehouse, clean waste-controlled areas, and clean trash cans. You will be responsible for tasks such as dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and ensuring that all areas are kept tidy and presentable. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to creating a safe and sanitary environment for both employees and customers. This position requires a flexible work schedule within a 24/7 work environment.

Reports to: ENS Manager, Porter Supervisor, Porter Lead


Essential functions:

  • Ensures all welfare areas (cafeteria, bathrooms, locker rooms, etc) meet hygiene requirements and supplies (Sanitizer, Hand towels, Hand Soaps, Hand Sanitizer, Auto sprayers) are sufficiently stocked.
  • Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
  • Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.

Experience in cleanliness and high organizational standards.

Qualifications

· Availability to work day, night, overnight, weekends and holidays as needed

· Flexible work schedule and ability to adapt to changes easily and periodically

· Bilingual, Spanish/ English is a must

· Teamwork, Team player oriented

· Ability to work independently

· Must possess strong organizational skills and systematic work ethic and practices

· The passion for perfect order, cleanliness and great attention to detail is a must

· Sense of urgency in execution of delegated duties

· Ability to coordinate quick solutions ensuring the internal supply chain is fulfilled throughout shift

· Strong sense of workplace safety, OSHA knowledge or certification is a plus

· ServSafe certification or the equivalent is required

· Work daily in changing temperature environments: warm, hot, cold, very cold including freezers


Physical Demands

· Regularly lift and move equipment (up to 30 pounds unassisted)

· Regularly bending, twisting, turning, reaching, pulling, pushing, moving racks, bins, dishes, equipment
