Your Role: A QA Automation Engineer is responsible for: gathering product requirements; defining, documenting, and implementing test cases and scenarios (including automated and manual testing); and documenting and communicating QA and test status and results. Ideal candidates have experience with automated testing and are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC), from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. A QA Automation Engineer is also required to articulate, verbally and in written form, ideas to members of their team and supervisors. QA Automation Engineers need to be able to work with limited supervision and know when to consult senior engineers and supervisors when faced with difficult technical issues.
What You'll Do:
- Understand and document software and hardware product functional expectations
- Identify bugs and potential problems in software and hardware
- Design and implement software and firmware automation tools
- Document and communicate automated test progress and results
- Plan and perform testing stages
- Develop and maintain new testing plans, tools, and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other business users, project managers, and engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Create and maintain system testing environments to validate product functionality.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Work alongside other QA engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, information systems, or similar) or equivalent experience
- At least one year of relevant experience in QA Automation and QA Automation tools ( Selenium and Test Automation)
- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
