The Associate Strategy Consultant at Indie Consulting serves at the intersection of marketing excellence, client relations, and project management. As an Associate Consultant, you will work closely with senior team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of marketing strategies that drive impactful results. Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the management of project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources. Maintain accurate documentation and project records, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards.
    • Convey information clearly and effectively to both internal teams and clients through professional emails, recaps, and meeting notes. Actively listen to understand client requirements and concerns accurately.
    • Proactively identify potential issues, develop solutions, and think critically to make decisions under pressure. Adapt to navigate unexpected challenges and adjust project plans accordingly.
    • Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and efficiently allocate resources and time to meet project deadlines while maintaining a sense of urgency and ensuring quality and accuracy in deliverables.
  • Client Services: Serve as a key member of the client team, ensuring clear and effective communication. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns and providing regular updates.
    • Present oneself professionally in appearance, demeanor, and communication, using appropriate language and tone to uphold the agency's reputation. Represent our team positively in all interactions, both online and offline.
    • Review project deliverables thoroughly to meet client expectations and agency standards. Spot and address potential errors promptly, maintain accurate documentation, and offer ongoing support to maximize client value. Handle feedback and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Marketing Strategy: Work closely with the consulting team and brand building team, vendors, and stakeholders to develop strategic marketing plans and associated campaigns in support of client’s business priorities.
    • Develop a strong understanding of digital marketing metrics and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to track campaign performance.
    • Define metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success; Analyze data to draw actionable insights and make recommendations for optimization.
    • Contribute ideas and insights to enhance strategy deliverables; Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance expertise and add value to client engagements.
    • Understand the digital marketing landscape and the competitive landscape within each client industry.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth; Seek out opportunities for skill development, such as attending training programs, workshops, or industry conferences.
Requirements:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Able to think big and design marketing strategy as well as see it through execution
  • Understanding of marketing technology and ways to connect it to client needs
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex priorities
  • Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment, with an eye on collaboration and integration
  • Strong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate in a virtual environment
  • Confident executive presence and communication; adept at managing up

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in marketing, with a focus on B2C marketing and communications strategy and planning
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus on Marketing, Communications, or a related business field
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results
  • Experience with Digital and Social media strategy and analysis
  • Experience building e-commerce-focused marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, client engagement, and conversion
  • Critical thinking and self-motivated: Comfort with ambiguity, resourceful, and able to think about the big picture and apply critical thinking to bring ideas to stakeholders
  • Digital Campaigns: Experience managing media buys and vendor relationships for paid media opportunities
