Description/Job Summary

As a Dining Facility Human Resources Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of the human resources aspect within a dining facility, which could be in a variety of settings such as a restaurant, cafeteria, or catering service. Your responsibilities likely include:

  1. Recruitment and Hiring: You oversee the recruitment process for all positions within the dining facility, from servers to chefs to cleaning staff. This involves writing job descriptions, advertising positions, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.

  2. Training and Development: You design and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff. This could include food safety training, customer service skills, and any other necessary job-specific training.

  3. Employee Relations: You act as a point of contact for any employee relations issues, such as conflicts between staff members or concerns about working conditions. You may also handle disciplinary actions or grievances in accordance with company policies.

  4. Payroll and Benefits Administration: You ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that they receive any benefits they are entitled to, such as health insurance or retirement plans.

  5. Compliance: You ensure that the dining facility is in compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including those related to minimum wage, overtime pay, and working conditions.

  6. Scheduling: You create and manage employee schedules, taking into account factors such as staffing levels, peak hours of operation, and employee availability.

  7. Performance Management: You oversee the performance management process, including conducting regular performance reviews, setting goals, and providing feedback to employees.

  8. Health and Safety: You are responsible for ensuring that the dining facility meets all health and safety standards, both in terms of food preparation and serving areas, as well as the working environment for employees.
