We are looking for the right person to fill the role of Purchasing and Logistics Specialist whose primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between sales, technical services and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to customers.


As a member of our team, a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist handles tasks such as creating and processing purchase orders, updating inventory records, and managing shipments and stockroom upkeep. The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist ensures accurate and timely delivery of products and services, including order processing, problem resolution, and schedule management for installation and technical teams. Success in this position requires a genuine enthusiasm for assisting customers and team members, along with patience, empathy, and effective communication, all aimed at maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction.


Important Attributes for an Inventory Specialist:

  • Work with distributors to secure the best product prices and manage purchase orders
  • Review and verify sales orders with the solutions team before purchasing
  • Procure, stage, and verify products for delivery and installation
  • Assist in scheduling product deliveries and update installation and technical team schedules
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and other electronic communications, and address customer inquiries and complaints
  • Order materials based on Service Department Tickets and maintain organized inventory
  • Oversee stockroom organization, including staging parts for crews and general clean-up
  • Conduct vendor research, manage vendor relationships, and oversee vendor activities
  • Collect and dispose of retired electronic hardware appropriately
  • Attend weekly meetings, assist other team members as needed, and perform other assigned duties


And of course, your technical skills This should include:

  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Strong time management, organizational, and active listening skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • ConnectWise experience a plus but not required
  • Basic understanding of inventory management, shipping & receiving
  • Software as assigned


As a United Inventory Specialist, we’re counting on you to:

  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information using the right methods/tools
  • Update accounting department when products have been delivered
  • Update tracking numbers and estimated dates of delivery
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of product and service solutions and how they relate to customer needs
  • Quarterly and Annual OKRs
