THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead/Sales Person to join our team at McKenzie. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, expanding our client base, and increasing revenue opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building efforts.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, industry opportunities, and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that showcase our company's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, developers, property owners, and other industry professionals.
  • Lead the entire sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation, closing, and project kickoff.
  • Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless transition and delivery of projects to clients.
  • Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and generate regular reports to monitor progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

As the Business Development Lead/Sales Person, you will:

  • Enhance brand visibility and drive financial growth by coordinating with company leadership and our marketing team to analyze market trends and propose revenue-enhancing ideas.
  • Create and grow our brand/market footprint while identifying and nurturing relationships to generate new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Attend industry events and meetings to stay updated on market conditions, competition, and cultivate relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Provide regular updates to our management team on new business development activities and key performance indicators.
  • Contribute strategic planning efforts to align business development initiatives with company objectives and growth targets.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Have at least 5+ years’ experience in the South Florida construction industry with a successful track record of building relationships and a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Are knowledgeable about the construction industry and eager to learn McKenzie’s products and offerings, with the ability to travel to customers as needed.
  • Can concentrate on priority goals and consistently exceed them.
  • Have a “can-do” approach and a natural ability to build relationships and establish trust.
  • Are proactive, self-motivated, and have an adaptable perception to understand customers’ needs and priorities, offering effective solutions to them.
