The Asian American Center of Frederick is on a mission to equip and empower all immigrants to become independent and self-sufficient contributors to their communities and American society. We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated bilingual Case Manager to join our expanding, dynamic team. As our dedicated Case Manager, you will work closely with our training and workforce development teams to ensure clients successful integration into American society through workplace training and apprenticeships. What Youll Do in this Role:


  • Interview clients to assess their current situation, needs and challenges in relation to preparedness for pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship training
  • Determine which services and assistance are necessary and helping clients access social services
  • Ensure clients receive outside therapy, counseling, etc. through partner organizations on an as-needed basis
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and outside organizations including but not limited to governmental, social, financial, health and legal services
  • Develop a plan of action to help facilitate the clients professional/career goals
  • Work within a team of professionals to ensure clients receive job/career coaching and enter into appropriate training/apprenticeship paths
  • Manage and track the readiness of clients to participate in professional training and apprenticeships; reviewing and modifying plans and services as circumstances change
  • Plan and schedule regular follow-ups to assess progress and additional needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes/case history reports in proper shared databases
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports to the Project Manager as part of our grant compliance
  • Learn and abide by the roles and responsibilities of your role in relation to our grant funding
  • Participate in required trainings and staff meetings
  • Other duties assigned by Project Manager and/or Executive Director

Qualifications we seek in our next Case Manager:


  • Bilingual (English and another language, Spanish strongly preferred)
  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of work experience in a related role
