We are currently bidding on a long-term contract opportunity at Dugway Proving Ground. The WDTC Data Sciences Division (DSD) is responsible for providing information system and IT services to WDTC divisions and Department of Defense customers. DSD's Systems Architecture Branch includes cybersecurity, system administration, network administration, operational support, and software development teams, all of which are part of the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework.

This opportunity is contingent upon successful contract award and negotiation.

Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Dugway Proving Ground

Clearance Required: Secret Security Clearance

Certifications Required:

  • IAT-II
  • Minimum of one qualifying baseline certification such as GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, CND, GCIH, GCED, CASP CE
  • Minimum of one qualifying computing environment or other relevant computing environment certification such as:
    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
    • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
    • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (Server Tracks)
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Server Tracks)
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) (Server Tracks)
    • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
    • VMWare Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
    • VMWare Certified Implementation Expert (VCIX)
    • VMWare Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
    • EMC Certification (Specialist level or higher)

Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Manage and maintain systems including EMC, SharePoint, Citrix, VMWare, Windows Server, and Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for system-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.
  • Configuration and Deployment: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of system hardware and software components.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure systems comply with security policies and standards, including regular updates and patches.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and capacity, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff and stakeholders to support and enhance system functionality and integration.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMC, SharePoint, Citrix, VMWare, Windows Server, and Red Hat Linux.
  • Certifications: Possession of required baseline and computing environment certifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role with demonstrated ability to handle complex system administration tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
