Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add a Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney with zero to four plus years of experience to join our real estate, litigation-focused firm in Chesterfield, Missouri. Our practice primarily involves civil litigation centered around property law concepts including real estate contracts, fee title, easements, adverse possession, liens and lien priorities, to name a few. We also handle some transactional real estate matters and general business litigation for our clients.

This position will require someone who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can autonomously handle a large volume of files along with meeting strict deadlines. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the law and practice in an area that needs attorneys. If you bring us your hustle and initiative, we will mentor you with our knowledge and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering evidence in support of client strategy
  • Taking depositions of the claimant, witnesses, experts and other parties
  • Attend court as required
  • Conducting discovery
  • Performing legal research
  • Remaining current with developments in the law
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents

Skills and Specifications:

  • 0-4+ years of experience working in real estate litigation
  • Prior experience in property or lending law preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and track volume caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Be able to work efficiently with corporate professionals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed and able to practice law in Missouri
  • A law degree from an ABA accredited law school
