This position is responsible for establishing and supporting the Safety , training program and Training Coordinators to ensure all training needs are met. Ensure that job duties that affect safety, legality and quality standards are addressed. To assist the Manager, Bakery-Production with implementing and maintaining a variety of health, safety and environmental programs to obtain the highest possible degree of safety for employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of work instructions and standardized work methods
  • Learns and demonstrates full competency in performing the job functions of the various positions assigned.
  • Deliver a high-quality & effective associate training & orientation experience
  • Partner with people managers to coordinate training schedules
  • Partner with people managers to coordinate New Hire Orientation activities throughout the  onboarding experience
  • Ensure all training materials and tools are up to date, and ready for use
  • Track associate skills development, training attendance, and program outcomes
  • Monitor associate application of training to job performance and discuss gaps and solutions with people managers
  • Ensure training is complete for all employees, new hires, and temporary workers.
  • Quick learner of new technologies, and can teach others to navigate tools
  • An engaging and effective trainer that Collaborates and builds buy-in
  • Ability to self-manage work progress, identify challenges and propose solutions to completion 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Effectively communicates as required with supervisor timely when situations arise.
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting safety performance results
  • Prepares facility monthly safety report to Corporate
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of training and safety
  • Maintain the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor
  • Monitor and maintain all classifications to make sure the bakery is compliant with all local, state and federal agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or other senior leaders in the ASPIRE BAKERIES organization.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Post-secondary education in adult education or safety is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in training associates in safety and/or job skills.
  • Proven experience in coordinating the training experiences for more than 80 employees.
  • Previous related experience as a trainer with a proven track record of getting the job done while engaging people is a definite asset.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is desired
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • To be able to communicate, coach, and train employees to optimize production. Poses  the ability to make critical decisions, coach  and expedite solutions when situations arise.
  • Aspiration for knowledge and willingness to acquire new skills
  • Bilingual; English/Spanish preferred

Hourly Range: $26.00 - $32.00

The final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
