Job Description

Your role as the VP of Business Strategy will be instrumental in driving our company's growth, development, and achievement of strategic objectives. You will have the opportunity to shape the company’s future and ensure its success in a rapidly evolving recruitment technology industry.

The role will be instrumental in driving change and implementing technology, product and client strategy with the focus areas of innovation, process improvement, automation, and recruitment data platforms for an assigned business unit. In partnership with CEO, Engineering, Client services, Sales, Marketing and other business functional areas, the Vice President of Strategy will build and help deliver on the enterprise’s technology transformation agenda. Key objectives for the role include transformation thought leadership, cross-functional program management, process improvements, and the development and execution of major components of the growth strategy.

Strategic Planning and Execution – Business Service and Product

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of organizational operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of product and service lines, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, ensure alignment with business objectives and address barriers to successful business strategy execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the prioritization process, ensuring ideas are evaluated and advanced appropriately while promoting a culture of business innovation within the organization.
  • Facilitate business processes, including goal setting, resource allocation, and performance measurement.
  • Assist all departments to drive account growth, renewal rates and company revenue by translating relevant insights into client value proposition and new opportunities

New Business Development and Opportunities for Growth:

  • Partner with development and implementation teams to steer and shape the company's long-term strategic plans for expanding product, service and tech offerings.
  • Identify key metrics of interest for customers in healthcare staffing, recruitment, and candidate data collection.
  • Monitor overall recruitment technology and healthcare data industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage market intelligence to position solutions effectively and identify areas for innovation to advance company’s position in the industry
  • Assist CEO with structuring commercial partnerships and M&A opportunities.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance or technology. MBA or relevant master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles strategy, analytics roles within corporate settings or management consulting firms

  • Data driven with a strong understanding of key commercial and financial metrics
  • Strong ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Skilled in partnering with the CEO to convey the company’s strategic vision and initiatives to both internal and external audiences.
  • Experience in using analytical and industry knowledge to help develop growth patterns
  • Proven track record of successfully executing strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of business development, customer acquisition and marketing principles
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, presentation, oral and written with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to effectively eliminate barriers to change
