The New Homestead is looking to hire a Dietary Director. The position directly oversees the dietary department, empowering employees in the food service department. Canidates should be highly motivated, excel in customer service and high attention to detail. Previous experience in food or restaurant service is preferred. Exemplary leadership is a must. The Dietary Director will work primarily day shift hours, with some regularly scheduled afternoon and evening hours to accommodate supervision of the evening meal service.

Education:

Certified Dietary Manager certification is preferred if not certified, must become certified within the first of employment.

Serv-Safe certification preferred, if not certified able to obtain certification upon hire.

Duties Include:

  • Working directly with the nursing department on meal service
  • Working directly with the Consulting Registered Dietitian on menu changes and substitutions
  • Inventory and processing of the grocery order
  • Completing the work schedule for the dietary department
  • Training new employees and working with current employees on customer service and meal satisfaction and sanitation
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Assisting with serving meals to residents
  • Assist with cleaning kitchens and dining areas
  • Assisting the Cook as needed
  • Preforming regular cleaning of kitchens
