DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT (HYBRID)

SHARP Literacy is looking for a mission-driven development professional with broad experience including fundraising, events management and marketing. Strategic planning and implementation a plus. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong communication skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment and has a minimum of five years of related experience. This is a hybrid position with two days per week in office and three remote. Benefits include PTO, generous 401k match, medical, dental and vision insurance and more.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW
The Director of Operations & Development coordinates collaborative initiatives and ongoing activities in accordance with the strategic plan and drives strong cross-team systems to lead change, remove obstacles and create organization-wide energy. Will develop and ensure implementation of efficient and effective interdepartmental team and department structures, and documented processes and procedures. The Director oversees company operations and supports an inclusive culture that allows team members to thrive and meet organizational outcomes. Will provide leadership in strengthening internal communication throughout the organization; creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ non-profit experience in development, events management and/or marketing
  • High level of proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PPT), Teams, Zoom and donor database – Raisers Edge preferred.
