Manager of Financial Screening

How you can make an impact: The Manager of Financial Screening is responsible for all aspects of verification, registration and financially related data collected for all patients that are without insurance or are underinsured at all CAMcare locations.

What you will do:

  • Sets goals, priorities, performance standards, policies and procedures for the following functions: Uninsured Care Application, Presumptive Eligibility, and patient financial obligation estimations.
  • The Financial Screening Manager ensures that financial screening is obtained prior to services being rendered, patient experience protocols are followed, and screening is obtained in a timely manner to reduce related denials.
  • This individual will be involved in departmental and interdepartmental process improvement teams to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
  • They will work to align revenue cycle processes to present a unified patient experience and consistent capture of data.
  • Keep staff inform on any updates with Medicaid/NJFamilycare.
  • Train all new staff members.
  • Performs all duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • A passion for helping patients.
  • Comfortable with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with patients, Physicians, Clinical Staff and leadership.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
  • 5 years or more experience in an applicable healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Must have managerial experience
  • Clinical Financial screening experience required.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service, and EMR applications.
  • Understands and applies computer knowledge, skills, procedures and information needed on the job.
  • Ability to convey information effectively.
  • Self directed.
  • Performs all other duties when assigned.
  • Present oneself in a professional manner, including dress, attitude, written and verbal communications skills, courtesy and pleasant environment to all staff and patients.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Bilingual preferred.
