About The Role

The Head of People Operations will play a crucial role in building and scaling our team, focusing on technical recruiting, organizational design, and creating exceptional candidate experiences. This role will report directly to co-founder Evan Frank and work closely with the executive team to drive our people strategy.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Recruiting
  • Build and lead a high-performing technical recruiting function
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top technical talent
  • Establish relationships with universities, coding bootcamps, and tech communities to create a robust talent pipeline
  • Continuously refine our technical assessment processes to ensure we're identifying the best candidates
Organizational Design
  • Serve as a thought partner to the cofounders on organizational structure and scaling
  • Analyze current and future business needs to recommend optimal team structures
  • Develop career ladders and growth paths for technical and non-technical roles
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and evolve company culture as we scale
Candidate Recruiting Experience
  • Manage the end-to-end recruiting process, from initial outreach to offer acceptance
  • Design and implement a consistent, high-quality candidate experience across all touchpoints
  • Develop and maintain relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Regularly gather and analyze candidate feedback to continuously improve our recruiting process
Onboarding Process
  • Create a comprehensive onboarding program that sets new hires up for success
  • Develop role-specific onboarding plans that align with our company culture and values
  • Implement systems to track and measure the effectiveness of our onboarding process
  • Regularly review and update the onboarding process based on feedback and changing company needs
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in people operations or talent acquisition roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position
  • Proven track record of building and scaling technical teams in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong understanding of organizational design principles and best practices
  • Experience developing and implementing end-to-end recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvement
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems 
  • Familiarity with current trends in HR technology and people analytics

Compensation

Compensation range is generally commensurate with experience, and for this role the range $120k - $150k + equity. Other benefits include:

This role is based in New York City with a hybrid WFH & office schedule (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are Tribeca in-office days, with potential for flexibility for Monday and Friday as agreed).
