Job Title: Sr. Building Envelope Consultant

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site role with travel to job sites)

Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Position Summary:

In this senior-level role, you will provide building enclosure and waterproofing services, developing and managing your own projects. This position involves establishing and maintaining relationships with local and national clients, serving as the primary contact for projects related to both new construction and existing buildings. Responsibilities include leading team efforts on forensic investigations, evaluations, condition assessments, and the development of waterproofing designs, as well as overseeing the creation of construction documents and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration.
  • Write proposals and scope of work descriptions for projects.
  • Lead the development of building envelope contract documents, including technical specifications.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections and write evaluation reports.
  • Perform peer reviews of enclosure details and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar.
  • Master's preferred in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar
  • 10+ years of building envelope and waterproofing experience, including at least 5 years managing projects in California and surrounding states.
  • Professional license in architecture, structural engineering, or civil engineering.
  • Strong writing, communication, and team skills.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and marketing strategies.
  • High-level knowledge of various building enclosure systems, materials, and products.
  • Experience in new construction building envelope design and technical analysis of existing buildings.
  • Familiarity with ASTM & AAMA standards and testing procedures, and experience compiling response packages for RFQ/RFP requests.
