Enterhealth is a nationally recognized leader in the addiction field. The Deputy Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting the nurse manager in directing and coordinating all nursing duties.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in planning, direct, control, coordinate, and evaluate the nursing program activities to provide and promote adequate nursing staffing, quality care, client rights, and compliance with Enterhealth and regulatory standards
  • Comply with all Administrative, Clinical, and Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the utilization and incorporation of the Nursing Process into the Master Treatment Plan as it relates to the Nursing Care Plan.
  • Assist in overseeing medical care including detoxification services.
  • Assure that medication and medical treatment is administered as prescribed by a physician and that nursing care and treatment progression is documented completely and accordingly to policy.
  • Manage alongside the nurse manager and provide nursing management, assessment, intervention, and crisis management.
  • Function as an interdisciplinary treatment team member.
  • Communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues.
  • Maintain qualified staff and develop personnel.
  • Determine needs for personnel, supplies, equipment, and physical plant.
  • May provide and document client and family education.
  • Participate in activities consistent with duties outlined in the Nursing Job Description.
  • Utilizes EMR

  • Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude and performance in support of community milieu
  • Actively supports the mission, philosophy, and goals for Enterhealth
  • Protects organization reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Performs other duties as required by the Nurse Manager.
  • Maintains strict adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in EMR
  • Current Texas licensure - RN, LVN
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
  • Previous experience as Nurse Manager of substance dependency treatment services preferred.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, hands-on management, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on various levels to include management, departmental, customer and associate levels utilizing both written and verbal skills.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including data entry, word processing, Outlook and Excel.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
