Who We Are:

The mission of the Greater New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience, and share quality activities in a Jewish environment.

The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a leader in New Orleans early childhood education, a fun-filled summer day camp and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class, or a dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values but is welcome to everyone.


The Membership Associate will be knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of membership policies and processes, serving as a resource to existing members who may have questions regarding their accounts. The Membership Associate works directly with members, responds to questions, and maintains guest lists; develops, coordinates, and attends membership programs.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide tours of the facility to potential members. 
  • Register new members including insurance-based accounts
  • Communicate the benefits of membership via phone and email.
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient about membership policies.
  • Serve as a resource to existing members who may have questions regarding their accounts.
  • Process member category changes freezes, cancellations, and other requests daily.
  • Assist the Membership Director with member programming and engagement.
  • Work directly with the Membership Director on projects, promotions, and processes as needed.
  • Be able to communicate membership options, fees, and policies to current and new members
  • Coordinate referral gift distribution
  • Act as point person for the membership department on weekends and evenings
  • Ongoing data validation to ensure the membership database is up to date
  • Contact members with delinquent accounts for updated payment information

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong Customer Service & Sales experience
  • Proficiency in Google Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Experience with database management preferred
  • CPR/AED & First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

$17-$21 per hour; Depending on Experience

Schedule:

  • Mondays 9:30 am- 4:30 pm
  • Thursdays & Fridays 10:30 am-5:30 pm
