Position Summary:

PURPOSE:

Our North American Technology Team is growing, and we are looking for a driven and energetic Information Technology Intern.

In this role, you will:

  • Aid our IT Desktop Support team in providing technical assistance to our business users.
  • Measure team performance to ensure we are meeting our service level goals, creating reports to communicate key metrics to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to maintaining an excellent working environment for all staff.

You will have the opportunity to understand our internal customers’ needs, contribute to new service ideas, design technical solutions, and help identify opportunities for service improvement.

Reports to Director of Information Technology

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT desktop support to Michelin Connected Fleet staff, assisting with access requests, password resets, and general Microsoft Windows troubleshooting.
  • Maintain office IT infrastructure (workstations, desktop peripherals, conference room audio/video equipment, etc.) to maintain a pristine working environment for staff.
  • Assist with Employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and sprint reviews to track team progress on planned projects.
  • Prepare reports on Service Level metrics and Key Performance Indicators.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

KEY PROFESSIONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (Linux and MacOS a plus)
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office application suite
  • Effectiveness in presenting ideas, communicating, influencing
  • Experience with database querying (SQL, JQL, etc)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, results oriented, environment.
