Position Overview:

This is an entry level Accounts Payable Specialist position. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring seamless monthly AP processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly AP duties for assigned property portfolio.
  • Oversee payment of utility bills
  • Calculate and pay monthly sales tax, and handling TPT license setup.
  • Process tenant security deposit refunds.
  • Conduct monthly budget meeting reviews.
  • Assist with utility account requests and pulling utility bills for various purposes.
  • Manage property takeovers and disposition tasks related to AP, such as setting up, transferring, and closing utility accounts, managing utility deposits and bonds.
  • Maintain company vendors through the NetVendor program, including 1099 maintenance and yearly filing.
  • Assist with various requests from accountants, owners, and utility account manager as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in property management preferred.
  • Experience with vendor management systems, preferably NetVendor.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
