Introduction: We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and upkeep of our facilities. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC maintenance, plumbing repairs, and electrical installations, to ensure our facilities are safe and functional.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Routine Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
    • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning).
  2. Repair and Troubleshoot:
    • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
    • Fix minor issues with building structure (walls, floors, ceilings).
    • Perform carpentry repairs (doors, cabinets, shelving).
  3. Respond to Maintenance Requests:
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from colleagues or tenants.
    • Resolve issues related to equipment or facilities.
  4. Ensure Safety and Compliance:
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
    • Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures.
    • Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
    • Document maintenance and repair activities for reference purposes.
  6. Emergency Response:
    • Address emergency maintenance issues promptly.
    • Be available for on-call duty for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and working in awkward positions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in maintenance or related field is a plus.


Working Conditions:

  • Work may involve exposure to various weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.


Skills:


1)Cleaning Skills:
Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment and tools (vacuums, mops, floor buffers, etc.).

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including proper use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.


2)Attention to Detail:
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.


3)Time Management:
Efficient use of time to complete cleaning tasks within specified schedules.


4)Communication Skills:
Basic communication skills to interact with supervisors, coworkers, and sometimes clients.


Additional Requirements:

Driver's License

Bilingual is a plus
