Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant with experience in high-volume invoice processing. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of invoices, and debit memos as issued by the vendors for products and services purchased.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time
  • Perform and review account reconciliations
  • Establish new vendors
  • Review departmental work
  • Perform month/quarter/year end duties
  • Oversee/assist with the A/P portion of audits
  • Update A/P Risk Report and perform ad hoc requests
  • Maintain the financial confidentiality of the company
  • Meet regularly with department staff regarding objectives and performance
  • Safeguard company assets by adhering to proper internal controls
  • Oversee 1099 reporting
  • Utilize and oversee any international teams
  • Maintain appropriate staff levels and training
  • Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Controller and Assistant Controller
  • Uphold the company’s vision, mission, and values

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

Typical 9-hour workday, employees are expected to adapt to a fast-paced work enviornment and have the capacity to spend extended periods at a computer. Occassional lifting of 50lbs or more may be necessary to fulfill job responsbilities.
