Our Opportunity:

C4 Therapeutics is seeking an enthusiastic, scientifically-motivated Senior Research Associate I to join our Biology team. The candidate will play a significant role in the design and execution of in vitro and in vivo studies to characterize and differentiate the biological consequences of our small molecule therapeutics to advance drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate will possess a background in cancer biology and experience in a drug discovery setting. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong commitment to team success, an ability to work effectively as part of a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. This position seeks individuals who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and are interested in and committed to laboratory-based research and innovation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cell-based studies to support identification/validation/differentiation of small molecule protein degraders, implementing of a wide variety of laboratory techniques: mammalian cell culture, Western blotting, cell-based genetic engineering (lentiviral, CRISPR, RNAi), flow cytometry, etc.
  • Manage CROs for outsourced work, including in vitro and in vivo studies (no vivarium on site).
  • Understand and integrate the current literature surrounding TPD and specific targets of interest.
  • Independently design, conduct, and summarize data for key experiments to progress projects.
  • Maintain written records of laboratory experiments, data, conclusions and communicates results in a clear/concise manner.
  • Contribute to laboratory organization and maintenance.

Your Background:

  • BS in biology or other relevant discipline with 3+ years of experience working in a research laboratory setting.
  • Background in cancer biology is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Works well in a collaborative team-oriented environment and is capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques is required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software such as Powerpoint, Microsoft office, etc., for data analysis and figure generation is required.
