Full job description

A Project Engineer's function is to assist the Project Manager and oversee most important parts of construction activity, such as managing the purchase of supplies, equipment, and labor, budgeting, and assisting the Project Manager with other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical information to the project supervisor to ensure that work conforms with all applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Responsible for creating requests for information (RFIs) and submitting them.
  • May be in charge of bid analysis, constructability evaluations, and permit processing.
  • Plan and coordinate construction engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Inspects every work to ensure it complies with the plans and specifications.
  • General awareness of the project budget; assistance with buyouts.
  • Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, deliver timely and accurate quality reports, and escalate concerns to the PM or Superintendent as needed.
  • Creation of a project punch list and closeout documents.
  • Must have US work authorization. Sponsorship is not available.

Experience:

  • Project engineering: three years (required).
  • Commercial construction: three years (required).
  • Pay Applications: Three Years (Required)
  • Heavy Jobs: Three years (required)
  • Blueprint reading: three years (required).
  • Bluebeam: Three years (preferred).
