The Field Engagement Specialist is a customer-centric problem solver that interacts with customers and end users to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and standards compliance.   
The SALTO Group companies have a wide variety of resellers, end users, products, and solutions.  The role of a Field Engagement Specialist is to provide personalized support to ensure overall effectiveness and customer retention through site surveys, inspections, commissioning assistance and training.
Location: Various cities (75% travel required) Candidate can reside in the West or Midwest. You will travel to a city to survey multiple locations and design solutions with the Salto teams and clients.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in the access control industry

Job Overview:
As a Field Engagement Specialist at SALTO, you will be the frontline representative interacting directly with our end users and partners. Your primary responsibility is to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and standards compliance across various industry applications and technologies. You will work closely with our Project Managers and Field Sales Teams to deliver innovative security solutions that protect our customers' teams and building assets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Advocacy: Engage with customers face-to-face to understand their expectations and deliver tailored security solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical and domain expertise in access control, door hardware, electric door switching, power panels, and fire egress.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers and field sales teams with solutions and knowledge of security products.
  • Problem Solving: Improve first-time use effectiveness, reduce downtime, and overcome any hurdles in the customer experience.
  • Relationship Building: Act as an ambassador for SALTO, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Experience: At least 5 years in the access control industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in door hardware, electric door switching, power panels, and fire egress.
  • Project Management: Experience in security project management, including designing, selling solutions, and installing door hardware products.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to navigate multi-level stakeholders.
  • Curiosity & Learning: Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn, understand, and explain integrated solutions to stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Documented training in security-related products, technical training certifications, and/or networking.
  • Travel: Ability to manage extensive travel (75%), including site evaluations in other cities.
  • Driving & Passport: A clean driving record and an active passport are required.
Should-Have Skills:
  • Networking: Basic knowledge of networking, including wiring and connection switches.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with Cloud SaaS products.
  • Sales: Upselling skills for project add-ons.
  • Travel Experience: Familiarity with traveling and navigating transportation.
  • Construction Site Visits: Experience with GC job sites, especially under construction.
  • Installation Skills: Ability to install hardware, with a set of tools available in your car.
