About the Role:

The Inventory Specialist is expected to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with highly qualified professionals. As such, he/she drives customer project and product development program execution needs specific to material requirements planning. Work with peers, management, and other departments to advance the business mission.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the daily in and out management of inventory. Ensure that Stock levels are accurate with spot checks for accuracy done often.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze our current stock to define trends, patterns and discrepancies (Understand how to make informed decisions around ordering and stock levels)
  • Demand Forecasting: Predict future inventory needs based on historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts.
  • Order Processing: Manage and process purchase orders in a way that ensures a timely replenishment of inventory to keep up with the flow of planned production timelines.
  • Stock Audits: Conduct regular interval stock audits and reconcile them within the MRP system inventory module.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with team-members onsite, offsite, suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods for both internal transfers as well outgoing and incoming shipments. Understand how to flow inventory based on ancillary services that require shipping as well as production (Raw Material -> WIP -> SFG)
  • Report Generation: Know how to prepare reports built on KPIs that help gauge Inventory Health for management.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and update Inventory within the MRP system, always ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control inventory costs, including consideration of storage, ordering, and carrying costs both near and long term.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance: Ensure that inventory practices comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff involved in inventory management processes.
  • Logistics – Managing shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing materials

Requirements:

  • An associates degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience in a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Demonstrated track record of inventory management, reporting, and auditing existing stock levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership, accountability, and ownership
  • Software Capability- MS Office, MRP System (Odoo preferred).
