A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SONOGRAPHER - ULTRASOUND TECH

Videre serves private medical practices during business hours Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. There is no weekend, holiday, or on-call work.

As a Sonographer - Ultrasound Tech specializing in echocardiography, general and vascular sonography, your role is multifaceted and crucial in the diagnostic process. You meticulously prepare the exam room, ensuring the imaging equipment is functioning optimally for accurate results. Before the procedure, you provide comprehensive explanations, addressing any concerns to ensure patient comfort and understanding. Skillfully positioning patients for imaging guarantees precise visualization of the heart, abdominal organs, thyroids, and kidneys while conducting studies for deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and arterial conditions.

Your attention to detail extends to reviewing images, and assessing quality, while promptly identifying abnormalities. Collaborating closely with radiologists and cardiologists, you analyze results, summarizing findings accurately for diagnosis. Methodically recording and maintaining medical records, you uphold the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic excellence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SONOGRAPHER - ULTRASOUND TECH

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credential
  • 1+ years of experience
