Job Summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
  • Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • Two (2) years of experience required.
  • ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties.
  • BLS certified.
  • Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is preferred.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists.
