Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDay In the Life of A HOA Accounting Coordinator

We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as an HOA Accounting Coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this role include managing various accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, troubleshooting accounting issues, and providing financial reporting for operational personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare bank reconciliations by obtaining and saving all bank statements from Wells Fargo to the One Drive.
  • Submit Positive Pay/Fraud Manager to the bank on a daily basis.
  • Troubleshoot accounting issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions to ensure accuracy.
  • Enter payments from PropertyWare to the HOA's accounts payable system accurately and promptly.
  • Post checks in Rent Manager from PropertyWare to owner profiles, managing multiple checks within tight deadlines.
  • Monitor and resolve requests/tickets from the Boise HOA team, ensuring prompt responses and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Record journal entries in RentManager as needed, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Provide financial reporting and related information for Ops personnel for their HOA meetings, presenting data clearly and concisely.
  • Enter work orders into Property Meld for HOAs, ensuring accurate documentation of all necessary information.
  • Maintain regular office hours, working 40 hours per week with flexibility between 7 am and 4 pm. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or related roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as PropertyWare, Rent Manager, and RentManager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of HOA accounting practices and regulations is a plus.
  • Location This is an in-office position located in Boise.
