Day to day as An Associate Teacher FT/Part Year West PointAs an Associate Teacher in West Point, CA. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of the classroom while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Engage with children and families in our Early Childhood Program, fostering growth through quality childcare, parenting education, and family support services.
Collaborate with parents to develop tailored goals for children, provide culturally appropriate experiences, and participate in home visits and conferences, making a difference in the lives of families in our community.
What matters mostTo excel as an Associate Teacher at The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc. in West Point, CA, candidates must possess essential qualifications and skills. Required credentials include 12 ECE units, including core courses, coupled with experience working with young children.
Additionally, applicants must hold a California Health & Safety Certificate, CPR/First Aid Certification, and successfully pass a criminal record clearance. A valid Calif. Driver's License with proof of current automobile insurance coverage is mandatory.
Candidates must also demonstrate compliance with health requirements such as a physical examination, proof of current negative TB test, immunization for measles and pertussis, and a current influenza shot.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- 12 ECE units
- including core courses
- Some experience working with young children
- California Health & Safety Certificate
