POSITION SUMMARY


The Accountant will be responsible for the maintenance of the American Advanced Management General Ledger; included in this responsibility will be the monthly analysis and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including all bank reconciliations. The Accountant will maintain any and all intercompany accounts that may arise in the course of normal business. The Accountant will work in conjunction with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow. The Accountant will also work on corporate projects as assigned by senior management. The Accountant will also monitor the accounts payable function and the payroll function. The Accountant will have responsibility to maintain and protect the company’s capital assets, including equipment, furniture and fixtures and software.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


The Accountant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Masters degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 2-3 years accounting experience, with some in a healthcare setting, is preferred. Experience with financial reporting requirements. Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

 

Ability to maintain assigned work hours: Requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
