Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer with a passion for architectural signage and a deep involvement in fabrication processes. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for creating captivating artwork concepts tailored to architectural signage projects. You will collaborate closely with customers, the design team, and the Art Director to bring these concepts to life, ensuring impeccable execution from design to fabrication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative artwork concepts for architectural signage projects, leveraging work order details, customer input, and creative ideas.
  • Effectively communicate with clients via email, phone, and in-person interactions, ensuring their vision is understood and incorporated into the design process.
  • Present well-crafted graphic proofs to customers for approval, incorporating feedback and revisions as necessary.
  • Manage and execute art projects efficiently, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Complete customer work orders accurately, providing comprehensive documentation for each project.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare meticulous material and labor estimates, optimizing project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Art Director to translate concepts into visually striking graphics that align with architectural and branding guidelines.
  • Maintain a well-organized material inventory, collaborating with the design team to ensure availability of necessary supplies.
  • Monitor art time and project status, maintaining meticulous records for future reference.
  • Ensure efficient material utilization and meticulously record material consumption for all projects. 


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in sign making, demonstrating a profound understanding of signage production.
  • Two years of graphic design experience, showcasing a strong portfolio of creative designs and concepts.
  • Proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service through both phone and interpersonal communication.
  • Prior experience in a sign shop environment, familiar with the intricacies of signage fabrication.
  • Expertise in design software, including Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Gerber Omega.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, showcasing your foundational education.
  • An Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, reflecting your specialized training and knowledge.
  • Desirable: A 4-year degree in Graphic Design, highlighting your dedication to the field.


Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of sign shop workflows and procedures, enabling seamless project execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook mail, for comprehensive project documentation.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional outdoor inspections of vehicles before and after completing work.
  • Closed-toed shoes are required for on-site work.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed for certain aspects of the job.
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, sitting, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, and climbing stairs to fulfill job responsibilities.
