This position utilizes experience and knowledge in the area of truck body assembly and installation. Also skilled in a particular area of installation such as hydraulics and/or electrical wiring. Produces quality work. Effectively works within a team environment and is capable of working with limited supervision and makes routine decisions about quality and safety of work performed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Completes electrical wiring and/or hydraulic intallation as specified on blueprints or technical drawings.

2. Assists other team members with the assemble of truck body units and the installation of components as indicated on blueprints or technical drawings.

3. Operates and maintains all tools, including air and electrical power tools, in a safe and relable manner.

4. Follows all organizational, department/are, safety policies, procedures, and directives as outlines in, but not limited to: Maintainer Employee Handbook, and Maintainer Quality Manual.

5. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education, Reasoning Ability, and or Experience:

Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Prefered: 3 – 4 years of related automotive/diesel mechanical training.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area and volume. Able to utilize tape measure, and read electrical schematics and diagrams effectively.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. Maintainer is a custom manufacturer which requires employees at times to work in awkward positions while performing these assigned duties. The employee is required to walk, sit, and talk or hear 8-9 hours per day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is also at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulates.
