We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment, as well as assisting with the assembly of truck body units and installation of components.
Key Responsibilities- Meet daily production goals by accurately recording and reporting production numbers and completing tasks on time.
- Operate and maintain all tools (including air and electrical power tools) in a safe and reliable manner.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions related to job duties and safety guidelines.
- Assist other employees with the assembly of truck body units and installation of components as indicated on the blueprints or technical drawings.
- Assist with processing and movement of production and other materials into and out of storage, production, and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions.
- Follow all organizational, department/area, safety policies, procedures, and directives as outlined in, but not limited to: Maintainer Employee Handbook, and Maintainer Quality Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area, and volume.
- Must have technical ability to meet customer specifications.
- Able to utilize tape measure, square, and possesses ability to read dimension prints effectively.
- Must be able to work effectively with computers and set up new programs on press brakes.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to stand and frequently use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools, and/or controls, likewise frequently reach with arms and hands. Maintainer is a custom manufacturer which requires employees at times to work in awkward positions while performing these assigned duties. The employee is required to walk, crouch, kneel, sit, and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is also at times exposed to fumes and/or airborne particulates.
