As the Production Planning & Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. You will be creating production plans and planning production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient utilization of resource.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and capacity requirements to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency. Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing sales trends, production capacity, and lead times
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather data and inputs for accurate demand forecasting
  • Create and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction. Generate reports and provide insights to management on production and inventory performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in production planning and inventory control. Implement best practices, lean methodologies, and automation tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Monitoring and analyzing production performance metrics, such as yield, efficiency, and downtime, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing inventory levels and coordinating raw material procurement to maintain uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and procurement, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues.
  • Proficiency in inventory control methods, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or equivalent qualification. A master's degree may be preferred for some positions.
  • Extensive experience in food production or manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing production operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment used in the food industry.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for production planning and analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred (Nice to have)
  • Minimum 5-10 years work experience in supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge MS Dynamics BC of production planning, capacity management, and scheduling techniques.
