The purpose of this position is to assist the warehouse and purchasing department in developing, implementing, and maintaining the inventory of Martin Systems.  The Associate – Warehouse & Purchasing position helps control Martin Systems’ assets and the maintenance of its inventory and orders it to be put in various financial schedules, statements, reports, and analysis.  This position will ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and that the vision of Martin Systems is upheld to the customers and staff.  

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the overall inventory and complete knowledge of the inventory while in the possession of the warehouse and purchasing department.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts.
  • Receive equipment deliveries from various businesses and assist with tracking orders.
  • Pack and Ship parts via UPS/FedEX and other carriers as needed.
  • Accountable for assisting the Warehouse Manager in developing procedures within the parts department.
  • Make certain the general database procedures are being followed properly to ensure the general ledgers reflect the accurate costing.
  • Assist with the process of over-the-counter sales and actively process such sales.
  • Obligated to keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Responsible for re-stocking and keeping bins accurate with parts and part numbers.
  • Accountable for returning items for warranty purposes and other reasons in a timely manner.
  • Effectively receive parts in and actively look at the shipping and handling receipt(s) to ensure accuracy for billing purposes and receiving correct parts.
  • Help Promote and Encourage Processes within all locations to include established warehousing practices.
  • Prepare installation jobs efficiently and accurately.
  • Able to trouble shoot and remain abreast of changes in technology.
  • Assist technicians to ensure procedures are completed properly.
  • Help deliver parts to technicians and pick up parts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must work well with others (in department, throughout company, and with customers)
  • Ability to follow direction and stay organized.
  • Operating equipment (telephone, computer, calculator, copier, car, small hand tools, etc.) is a must.
  • Successfully pass a background check, physical and drug test
  • Remain in a stationary position 50%, and frequently bend, kneel, and reach.
  • Occasionally ascend and descend on a ladder.
  • Move or transport equipment weighing up to 50lbs.

Scheduled Office Work Hours:

  • 7:00am – 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
