We are hiring a Laboratory & Research Technician for one of our clients in Newark, NJ.

Job Description:

  • Perform sample preparation and analysis of specimens and evidence for specific toxic chemicals, drugs of abuse, and other substances following standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Maintains essential records, reports, and files associated with casework.
  • Use established quality control and quality assurance procedures of the laboratory.
  • Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and observes proper laboratory safety policy.
  • Performs instrument maintenance and verification.
  • Prepares standardized chemical reagents regularly used and other reagents of special nature for special uses, including calibrators and controls.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Skills required:

  • Organized

Education required:

  • Prefer someone with a Chemistry, Toxicology background OR Associate's Degree in Forensic Science.

Work hours:

  • 8:30 am 4:30 pm/Weekends
  • What will be CLP's lunch period: 1 hr (lunch)
