The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of all finance, accounting and business practices. Primary responsibilities will be to support Director Finance and Program Management in program financial operations, cost estimation and analysis, planning, budgeting. This position requires specialized expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and surveillance of Earned value management systems (EVMS) to ensure compliance with applicable policies and provide the Program with reliable cost data
  • Provide support to create the Baseline Budget for the program in collaboration with the PM
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly analysis on all Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMR)
  • Coordinate with the cross-functional team members in case of budget variances and collaborate as interface to the PM and other project stakeholders
  • Support the PM with risk assessment on the program
  • Provide analytical support for program controls and reporting, financial execution and budgets
  • Responsible for reconciling, reviewing, and keeping accurate the financial and accounting data on the program
  • Identify trends and developments, report them to management, conduct analyses as needed to support operational decision making and improve performance on the project
  • Analyze and interpret project data for use in management reviews and decisions
  • Develop and enhance the EVM reporting tools and procedures to track performance and incurred project costs
  • WBS management for the program
  • Invoicing for the program

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracting in financial area (Financial Analysis) and / or program management
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, tooling, EVMS Metrics and reporting is required
  • Primavera and Deltek Cobra experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (is a must) and strong skills with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools (SQL, Excel, SAP, BI tool, similar)
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize, being able to work under pressure and deal with deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
