We are currently seeking an Accounting & Financial Analyst to support our financial operations and strategic decision-making at our firm, which is focused on business and asset acquisitions. This role requires strong accounting skills and experience in financial analysis to provide important insights that will help shape our financial strategies.

This position is located in Columbia, MO, and blends practical financial analysis with accounting expertise to tackle various business challenges and support our internal team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analyses to evaluate company performance, identify trends, and suggest areas for improvement.
    • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and models to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
    • Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and investments, to identify potential areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Accounting Integration:
    • Apply accounting knowledge to ensure accurate integration of financial data into analysis and reporting frameworks.
    • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure financial transactions and records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Produce and present financial statements, reports, and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders.
    • Simplify complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
    • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
  • Compliance and Regulation:
    • Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and ensure compliance.
    • Work with legal, finance, and operations teams to assess risks and manage regulatory documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial/accounting analysis, with a strong background in accounting.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
