Through our global brand network, we are one of the largest manufacturers of building solutions in the world. For over 100 years, BlueScope Buildings North America continues to build on our reputation for quality precision-engineered building brands and products, leading technology, and a customer-first spirit. Our diverse, bright, and inspired workforce is committed to bettering the communities we serve through breakthrough thinking and innovations. Your goals, ideas, and perspective can help shape our future—we look forward to hearing them.

Job Description

We are looking for a uniquely talented Senior Visual Media Specialist to join our growing in-house Brand Studio—a role designed for a creative professional who excels in both graphic design and visual media. This is a hybrid position that requires a rare blend of skills: you must have a keen eye for clean, impactful design, combined with strong capabilities in video editing, motion graphics, and ideally, 3D animation. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across multiple mediums, from crafting stunning visual designs to producing dynamic video content and motion graphics that elevate our brand.

As part of BlueScope, a global leader in engineered building solutions, you will be working in an industry that merges innovation with structural beauty. This role offers the chance to shape the direction of an evolving brand that is currently undergoing two significant brand refreshes. As we bring these new brand expressions to life, you will play a key role in creating a large library of visual assets, including the capturing of video and photography that showcases the stunning buildings our company has been instrumental in bringing to life. This will involve some travel to locations throughout North America to gather case studies assets of completed buildings, document the construction process, and capture portrait images of the builders we work with.

This is not a position that will be limited to templatization or constrained by rigid guidelines. Instead, it offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by flexing your creative muscles and telling our brand stories through compelling video storytelling and innovative, refined design. The work you do will directly influence how our brand is perceived across all touchpoints, making this an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand transformation and contribute to the creation of a visual legacy.

Key Focus Areas

Graphic Design:

  • Design and produce high-quality visual assets across a variety of platforms, including printed collateral, websites, digital and multichannel integrated campaigns, experiential, exhibit design, event branding,
social media, and sales enablement tools.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines while pushing the creative boundaries to deliver fresh, impactful visuals that maintain the bar for creative excellence.
  • Collaborate with other team members to brainstorm ideas, explore visual directions and ensure that all visual elements are highly polished and align with the overall creative vision.

Video Editing and Motion Graphics:

  • Edit video content to produce engaging, high-impact videos that resonate with our audience and drive brand engagement.
  • Create dynamic motion graphics and animations that bring our brand stories to life, enhancing the overall visual experience.
  • Utilize 3D capabilities to develop innovative and visually stunning motion graphics that set our brand apart.

Multimedia Production:

  • Contribute to video production, including shooting video and photography when needed, ensuring all content is visually compelling and on-brand.
  • Capture the beauty and engineering excellence of the buildings our company helps bring to life, creating a visual library of brand assets that tells the story of our brand.
  • Travel to various locations throughout North America to document case studies, construction processes, and capture portrait images of builders and projects.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • Design Expertise: Deep understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Multimedia Capabilities: Proficient in creating high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics and video content that tells a captivating and engaging story, including building storyboards for video scripts.
  • Creative Innovation: A passion for continuously pushing yourself to elevate the brand’s visual expression through fresh, unique, innovative and creative solutions across all platforms.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering exceptional work on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team that is solving creative problems and executing shared work as a team.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Skills in 3D animation software such as Cinema 4D or Blender.
