SUMMARY: The Visual Media Specialist (VMS) provides strategically focused, creative solutions for a wide variety of video and photography projects for internal and external health system audiences. Reporting to the Visual Media Manager, s/he helps improve processes, standards and guidelines while contributing compelling brand stories across multiple mediums to elevate our brand. This role requires a keen eye for clean, impactful imagery and strong skills in editing and motion graphics. The VMS will help shape the direction of our evolving brand and will play a key role in creating a large library of visual assets that highlight our culture and advanced technologies as part of our brand transformation.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least five years of professional work experience in videography and photography is required.
  • Ability to successfully take a digital video or photo production from concept to completion.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of video direction, concepting and technical equipment required for video production.
  • Must have proficiency in story-boarding and video editing using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, After Effects, etc.) as well as strong understanding of post-production requirements for YouTube.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with design and photo editing computer software.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Excellent customer service while working under tight deadlines. Strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and can multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses a positive attitude and collaborates in a team environment.
  • Efficient and knowledgeable on repair and maintenance of multimedia equipment.
  • Ability to capture and produce compelling and on-brand high-impact video and photography that drive brand engagement.
  • Proficiency in asset management.
  • Contribute to video production, including shooting video and photography when needed, ensuring all content is visually compelling and on-brand.
  • Experience with lighting and animation is highly desirable.

OTHER: Availability to periodically work some early mornings, weekends, providing personal transportation to shoot video or photos as assigned. Valid driver's license is required.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: Valid driver's operator's license

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Graphic Design, Bachelors - Journalism, Bachelors - Related Field, Equivalent Experience - Related Field
