Senior Highway Engineer and/or Senior Highway Project Managerwith experience consistent, but not limited to:

  • Leading design engineering teams to develop highway designs, prepare plans for DelDOT, SHA and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, locally administered transportation projects
  • Coordinating highway design tasks with internal and subconsultant survey, traffic, water resources and bridge staff on transportation improvement projects
  • Developing ADA curb ramp designs, sign and pavement markings plans
  • Maintenance and protection of traffic plans
  • Grading and drainage design
  • Microstation Connect (MSCE), OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff with the use of MSCE, ORD and PW
  • Highway and roadway design experience using MSCE, ORD and PW
  • Roundabout design experience
  • Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience.
  • H&H, Drainage design with InRoads suite preferred.
  • Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.CCR certification a plus
  • Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design
  • Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
  • Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
  • Managing projects/tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients.
  • Managing client relationships with Public and Private Clients, including contractors.
  • Experience with CM/GC and Design-Build projects is a plus
  • Construction Consultation Experience
  • Utility coordination and Utility Relocation Design Experience
  • Sustainability assessments

Required Attributes

  • Essential Software Tools: MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Experience.
  • Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering - MS Degree is a plus
  • Minimum years of work experience: 5 - 15 years.
  • Minimum years of management experience: 0 - 3 years
  • Licenses required: Professional Engineer.PTOE, DBIA a plus
  • Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
