We are seeking a Civil/Highway Project Manager to join our highly skilled team of transportation professionals in NJ.

Our clients include federal, state, and local governments, and transportation authorities.

Projects have varying degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs and include highway and intersection improvement projects, limited access highway and interchange improvements, and design of new transportation infrastructure facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage highway projects from planning through design and into construction.
  • Lead project team meetings and report up to STV executive management regarding status.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to technical engineering staff ranging from junior to senior level.
  • Work closely with other project managers and group leads to plan resources and manage internal workshare.
  • Assist in developing client capture plans and pursuit win plans, proposals, and other business development and client engagement activities.
  • Develop and enhance client relationships, serve as the primary company contact, and deliver quality projects on-time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Manage all project aspects; scope development, qualifications and proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, design scope, budget, scheduling, staff management, and coordinating work efforts, cost estimating, bidding support, construction administration, cost control, project communications, and documentation, and cash management.
  • Administer relevant aspects of a formal quality program.
  • Achieve or exceed each project's estimated profit margin.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A PE license in NJ is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and designing highway improvements and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform project management responsibilities, working independently and in coordination with other team members and Project Managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design/construction completion.
  • New Jersey Turnpike Authority experience a plus.
