Position Summary

Accounting Associate will provide accounting and administrative support to the San Diego office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Process daily mail
  • Deposit and record checks received in San Diego office
  • Assist in recording daily over wires
  • Manage and post daily CPT Teller payments in Accounting software
  • Assist with processing and posting check requests including preparation for mail
  • Assist with review of monthly expense reports
  • Prepare daily warehouse reports
  • Record daily appraisal credit card payments
  • Employees will aid in ensuring all bank trust accounts are maintained as required by state and federal banking and licensing requirements.
  • Employee will aid in ensuring periodic bank reconciliations are completed on time and
  • Employee will aid in maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures with controls, as well as checks and balances across all departments
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required
  • Demonstrate ability to appear to work on time, follow directions from a manager, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives. Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience working in accounting related position.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
