Material Handler --- MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL FROM PALATINE TO A SITE IN CHICAGO AS NEEDED.1st Shift – Material HandlerMUST WORK AT THE PALATINE SITE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYMUST WORK AT CHICAGO SITE TUESDAY AND THURSDAY
Hours –Palatine will likely offer a more consistent schedule (8 am-4:30 pm), the Chicago site requires some flexibility on shift times (8a-4p, 10a-7p, etc), along with a Saturday here and there.
Pay rate -$22:00ph
Material Handler Responsibilities:
  1. Material Handling: Receive, unload, and store incoming materials, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed to prevent damage or loss.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, inventory checks, and data entry into inventory management systems.
  3. Order Picking: Fulfill orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment
  4. Material Movement: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, tugger trucks, and other equipment to transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center safely.
  5. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles, ensuring that shipments are properly secured and handled to prevent damage.
  6. Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to supervisors for resolution.
  7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operating practices for equipment, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
  8. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas, and shipping/receiving areas, to ensure safety and efficiency.
