Job Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services for the organization in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability.
  • Collaborate with departments to determine procurement needs and specifications.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
  • Stay updated on market trends and new products.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Recommend new suppliers based on performance metrics and cost analysis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles.
