Position:
Inventory Control Specialist with Merchandise Inspection and Cycle Counting
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough merchandise inspections to identify quality issues, damages, or discrepancies.
Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory systems.
Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and alert management of low stock or potential stockouts.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for accurate inventory movements.
Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues.
Prepare reports and analyze inventory data for improvement.
Assist in developing inventory management strategies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
Proven experience in inventory control, merchandise inspection, and cycle counting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
Conduct regular physical count cycle counting.
Utilize cycle counting techniques for precise inventory counts.
Perform detailed merchandise inspections and update records.
Collaborate with purchasing department to reconcile purchase orders.
Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
