Special Requirements

Florida Department of Health 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator Program completion

FDLE Full Access Certification

Mandatory pre-employment physical and drug tests. Florida Drivers License required.

The City of Riviera Beach maintains a drug-free workplace policy and program, as established under the guidelines of the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988 and Section 440.102, Florida Statutes.

Minimum Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred.

Requires three years of Police Dispatch experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
