Job Description:
The Partnership Development Specialist/ SDR will be a key member of Peak’s Central Sales and Marketing Division. This role will cover all territories that we currently service as well as new markets. Our target customers are special event venues of all types and concessions style production companies or larger event planners. The main goal for this position is to generate qualified leads for both our Catering and our Concessions Business Development Reps. This will be achieved by first identifying all potential partnership opportunities (our TAM) and then reaching out to prospects via email, phone, social media, and networking activities. Success for this position will be measured by the number of opportunities created and by booking meetings with prospective partners who align with our qualification criteria.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Sales pipeline management of new and established markets
- Lead research, generation and qualification (catering, concessions, cold calling, emailing, sequences, etc.
- Prospecting and communicating with potential clients.
- Crafting and personalizing email and call scripts to create curiosity and relevancy.
- Appointment setting and scheduling discovery meetings for the BDR team.
- Reporting, tracking, and communicating best practices.
- Networking, socializing with prospects, understanding their needs and opportunities, having fun, and meeting new faces
Required Skills:
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for building rapport with prospects and conveying information clearly and persuasively.
Active Listening:
- Being able to understand and respond to the prospect's needs is crucial. Active listening helps SDRs uncover key information that can be used to qualify leads effectively.
Resilience:
- SDRs often face rejection and objections. Resilience is vital to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a positive attitude, continuously pursuing new opportunities.
Time Management:
- SDRs handle a high volume of leads and activities. Effective time management ensures that they can prioritize tasks, focus on high-priority prospects, and meet targets.
Research Skills:
- The ability to research and gather information about prospects and their businesses helps SDRs tailor their messaging and approach to resonate with potential customers.
Adaptability:
- The sales landscape can change rapidly, and SDRs need to adapt to new technologies, market trends, and shifts in customer behavior to stay effective.
Goal-Oriented:
- Setting and achieving goals is fundamental to the SDR role. A goal-oriented mindset keeps SDRs focused and motivated to reach or exceed targets.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with CRM software, specifically HubSpot, data enrichment tools such as Apollo, sales engagement tools, and other technologies used in the sales process is beneficial.
Empathy:
- Understanding the prospect's perspective and demonstrating empathy helps build trust and rapport, making it more likely for prospects to engage in further discussions.
