As a core member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of operations strategy (submissions, quoting/policy servicing, underwriter & broker experience, user support and other areas) for Large Commercial division. You will support the organizations goals and objectives for ensuring optimal operational efficiency and driving automations. You will also

work with the senior management to help improve workflow and day-to-day business activities. This will include coordinating efforts of business units by developing processes and procedures to improve business decisions and performance.

The core responsibilities of this role are…

  • Executing on operational strategy and objectives, including standardization/automation of processes to drive increased profitability.
  • Leading identification and implementation of business process changes/innovation to improve both efficiency and experience of the operations.
  • Serving as a key member in delivering and operationalizing that strategy, participating in all facets of the value chain.
  • Liaison with outsourced operations partners – responsible for overseeing their work and defining outsource/insource strategies.
  • Developing company improvement plans to assist with the bottom line.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting updates to business unit leaders on operational objectives.
  • Assist in research, response and resolution to inquiries and complaints.
  • Support underwriters, brokers, and other department members with questions and feedback related to Operations processes and producers.
  • Lead training and implementation program for systems and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Assist in developing and delivering quality assurance and internal/external audit of operations functions.

Demonstrated experience for success in this role…

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ relevant operations experience
  • Property and Casualty insurance expertise—commercial property preferred
  • Business process re-engineering experience
  • Project management experience a plus
